Legislative Assembly 60 seats · 3-year term · Proportional representation; from 2027, six seats are elected through a separate overseas constituency.

The President is both head of state and head of government, and the Vice President is elected on the same ticket. Constitutional reforms effective in 2025 set presidential terms at six years, allow indefinite reelection, and replaced the former runoff system with election by the ticket receiving the most valid votes. The 2027 presidential, legislative, and municipal elections are scheduled for February 28, 2027.
