Inatsisartut 31 seats · 4-year term · Direct election by universal suffrage in one national constituency using proportional representation with the D'Hondt method

Greenland has parliamentary self-government: voters directly elect Inatsisartut, which elects the Premier and approves the Naalakkersuisut government. Elections are held at least every four years; the electoral process uses paper ballots, while municipalities conduct local counting and results are compiled and approved by Valgnævnet.
