Assembly of Albania 140 seats · 4-year term · Proportional representation in twelve multi-member electoral districts corresponding to administrative regions, using closed and preferential candidate lists.

The President is the head of state and is elected indirectly by the Assembly for a five-year term, renewable once. The Prime Minister heads the government and is not directly elected nationally; the Central Election Commission administers elections through the State Election Commissioner, Regulatory Commission, and Complaints and Sanctions Commission.
